Rule the Road is an This game is a lot of fun, and despite the comments of previous reviewers on speed of the game, load times and such, the requirements of this game are quite modest by today's standards especially.

As far as gameplay is concerned, the game is a lot of fun, and I feel that the introduction of showtime more than makes up for the removal of aftertouch and crash mode. This game is a lot of fun, and despite the comments of previous reviewers on speed of the game, load times and such, the requirements of this game are quite modest by today's standards especially. Makes all other driving games feel outdated and predictable. Still unlocking new cars (and bikes), and finding new things to do after 30 hours of play means I will be playing this for a long time to come! This is the perfect example of how an open world game should play. In fact the lobbies are just another way to play the game. Going online is a breeze with a menu system that you activate while driving, and lobbies where you also continue to drive between events. I then won a a few Races and Stunt events to get some more cars (cars are released into the world and have to be Taken Down before they can be driven). That's what makes this game a 10 for me, there is so much to do in the world and you can choose to do it in any order you want. I spent the first couple of hours just driving around Paradise City collecting Billboards and Super Jumps.

This is a game I will keep coming back to! … Expand from straight out racing, to finding as many shortcuts as possible, smashing billboards, to finding and driving through the best/highest/longest jumps and chains of stunts.

The gameplay is exactly what I've come to expect from a Burnout game - good, simple, fun! The PC controls work much better than I had expected, that is to say I crashed into walls/traffic/off cliffs no more than I would have with a PlayStation controller. As soon as I am in game, I hit the skip track song to get bring up a new track.

But for a console port, this game is excellent! Agreed, listening to Welcome to the Jungle can be tedious, however load times aren't too bad on my PC, possibly helped by skipping logging into an account - just hit backspace, as it shows when you're prompted to log in, just as you can choose not to install EA's Download manager when installing the game. or you laughing at them as you take them down for the 4th time in a row. But for a console port, this game is excellent! Agreed, listening to Welcome to the Jungle can be tedious, however load times aren't too bad on my PC, possibly helped by skipping logging into an account - Burnout isn't quite the same on PC as on a console - your friends laughing as you fail miserably. After reading up, this is most probably caused by missing parts in the heirachy.Īside from fixing that, I still also need to do an Interior texture, I just have a basic occlusion bake texture overlayed on a dark background at the moment.Burnout isn't quite the same on PC as on a console - your friends laughing as you fail miserably. This saved me alot of time.Ĭurrently, I have got every thing working ingame except it crashes. If you are wondering, I modelled this car in Autodesk Maya and unwrapped the UVs in Headus UV layoutĪs I said earlier, I wanted a Fiat with acurate scale, so I used reference photos and Scaled the body shell to the corect scale before Continuing with the rest of the model. I will start off with showing some previous screenshots: There are several models of this car for download and I was extremely disapointed by all of them!! They constantly crashed the game, the scale was off, and their proportions were totally wrong!!Īnyway, you may have seen some screenshots of my progress in the picture post comentary topic but I think it would be nice to document and share the progress in its own topic.

I started this car because I loved to drive around in a fiat 126 mod in GTA3 a long time ago and thought it would be great to do it again. Welcome to my fiat 126 work in progress topic
